Things You Must Know Before Applying
Understand these six points before starting your Germany application
APS Certificate is Mandatory
Students from India must obtain an APS certificate that verifies their academic documents before applying to German universities. Allow 4 to 8 weeks for this process. Aris guides you through every step of the APS application.
IELTS or PTE Score Needed
Most private universities accept IELTS 6.0 to 6.5. Many also accept a Medium of Instruction certificate from your previous college. Aris Overseas offers in-house IELTS coaching in Gujarat.
Blocked Account of ₹10.6 Lakh
A blocked bank account showing ₹10.6 Lakh (€11,904) is required for the German student visa. This money is released to you monthly after you arrive in Germany to cover your living expenses.
Two Intakes Every Year
Germany offers a Winter intake starting in October and a Summer intake starting in April. Begin your preparation and application at least 6 to 8 months before your target intake.
Health Insurance is Compulsory
Valid German health insurance is mandatory for university enrolment. It costs approximately €110 to €120 per month. We guide you to the right plan for your situation.
Work 120 Days Per Year Legally
International students can legally work 120 full days or 240 half-days per year in Germany. Many students earn ₹40,000 to ₹80,000 per month part-time to cover living costs comfortably.
